This knitted cotton throw is wonderfully soft and also slightly stretchy – perfect when you need an extra layer of warmth on the sofa or bed.
The sides have different designs – colourful stripes on one side and 2 large matching squares on the other.
Cotton is a soft and easy-care natural material that you can machine wash.
With a colourful throw, you can easily breathe new life into your sofa, armchair or bed. This one is made of 100% cotton and is wonderfully soft to wrap around you to enjoy some extra warmth and cosiness.

What is cotton?
Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibres. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilisers and water.

We played a lot with the ability of colours to transform objects and mixed bright, saturated shades with more muted ones and then applied them to different materials. A colour needs company, and it’s only by interacting with users, objects and other colours that it comes into its own. We hope the collection adds a positive feel and colour to people's lives and homes."
"The design of the knitted TESAMMANS throw is a graphic interplay of lines and solid colours where the blend of the six basic tones creates more colours. Thin lines of two tones merge when viewed from a distance, so we perceive a new shade. It’s only when viewed from up close that we can distinguish the separate colours. Something that you quickly discover when you wrap the wonderfully soft and warm cotton throw around you while snuggling up on the sofa.”
An interplay of colours and shapes
When creating the TESAMMANS collection, we collaborated with the colour experts and design duo Raw Color which comprises of designers Daniera ter Haar and Christoph Brach. Together we explored the emotional aspects of colour and how colour interactions can be created in a myriad of materials and functions. The result is a colourful collection that goes beyond the expected and elevates simple shapes through playful and sophisticated colour combinations.
