All children are welcome to Småland, a magical forest full of play and fun! Småland is a free play area for the convenience of customers who come to IKEA with their children. Adults can look around the store and get inspired, while the little ones have a great time under the watchful eye of our co-workers.

IKEA Småland co-workers will take care of your children for free for an hour. The children of IKEA Family members can enjoy an extra 30 minutes of play.Various play facilities for children
In Småland, your child can jump in ball pools, colour, play with a range of IKEA children's toys, and watch movies and animations whenever they like.
How to start the fun
Check entry conditions
Our Småland play area is open for all 95 to 125 cm tall children who can use the toilet on their own.Fill out the application form and get a wristband
When you bring your child to the Småland play area, you'll receive a wristband that must be kept until the child is picked up. We'll also put a name sticker on your child's clothes.Pick up your children
You can pick up your child at the Småland entrance. We will hand the child over to the same adult who brought them to the play area and wears the matching wristband.
Småland is safe
To make all the fun playing in Småland as safe as possible, we have a few simple routines.Both the parent and child will receive a wristband upon filling out the application form. The wristbands share a matching code. This will help you pick up your child safely, so please don´t remove the wristband before showing it to our Småland co-worker.
In case of an emergency, we will evacuate your child safely to the designated area next to the store. You can pick up your child from there according to our standard procedures involving your signature and the matching wristband.
If the child starts missing you, we´ll contact you by phone.
Ensure that your child is in good health before entering the play area. If the child shows symptoms of illness, we´ll contact you immediately and ask you to pick them up.
Ground rules
Småland is for the children of IKEA customers who remain at the store while their children spend time at the play area. All children can play for up to 1 hour. With the IKEA Family e-card, your child's playing session will be extended by 30 minutes (this depends on the number of children playing at that time).Children can be picked up only by the adult who signed the application form and wears the matching wristband.
Fill out the application form at the Småland entrance and pick up your child from the same place.
We will contact you if your child is crying or injured. If we call you, please come to Småland immediately.
We set capacity for safety reasons. When the number of children exceeds the capacity, you may have to wait.
