IKEA for Business took on a design project in the charming district of Kadriorg, furnishing a rental apartment that blends seamlessly with the area’s overall character. The result honours the apartment's existing features, including beautiful herringbone flooring, high ceilings with cornices, and golden handles, while introducing both traditional and Art Deco elements to create a truly timeless look.
Comfy, yet luxurious living room
The SKAFTET floor lamp base, paired with the REGNSKUR lamp shade, casts a warm glow over the dining area, where the glamorous flair is brought to life with a black marble-effect dinner table, elegant glassware, and golden cutlery. When the tenants have finished their dinner, they can sink into the deep, soft seats of the VISKAFORS sofa, which adds a traditional touch to the room.Living room
“When selecting the furnishings for the apartment, I wanted to blend classical style with the bold geometry of Art Deco. The colour palette draws from that era too—think rich dark blues and greens, deep red ochre, and glossy blacks. Light beige and whites serve as a neutral backdrop for everything else.“

Attention-drawing drawers in the bedroom
The bedroom features beautiful golden and blue accents in decorative pieces, such as cushion covers, plant pots, and candles. The focal point of the room, aside from the cosy and inviting bed, is the PAX wardrobe. Paired with KOMPLEMENT drawers and a pull-out mesh basket, it keeps folded clothes organised while leaving plenty of room for beautiful dresses and cardigans.
