Scandinavian-style rental home in Tallinn city centre
Our business client has a furnished rental apartment in need of a complete makeover. IKEA interior designers were given free rein to create room solutions and choose products. The result is a bright and cozy Scandinavian-style rental home with modern rooms that are both practical and eye-catching.
Before
The apartment was bright and spacious, but some time had passed since its last renovation and the furnishings were somewhat worn and outdated. The furnishings and rooms were in different styles and lacked coherence. There were no decorations that would have made the rooms cozier and more personal.
After - living room
The spacious living room is furnished in timeless light and neutral tones to make it easy for the future residents to personalize it. The light beige carpet ties the room together, and the contrasting black details give it character. With the practical wall-mounted cabinet, cleaning the floor is a breeze. And the grey corner sofa offers comfort for relaxing. Its covers can be machine washed or replaced, and you can also add or switch the modules.
Kitchen
The timeless, minimalist kitchen has plenty of storage with doors, making it easy to keep organized. The cabinets reach the ceiling, making maximum use of the space. High-quality surfaces are easy to clean. Like in the rest of the apartment, light and neutral tones prevail here, to which you can easily add splashes of color with dinnerware and textiles.
Working nook
Since we all tend to work from home every now and then, our designers equipped the appartment with a comfy working nook. The minimalistic white desk and comfortable chair are up to their tasks and blend in nicely in the general design. The white shelves have everything you need close at hand.
Bedroom
For this bedroom, our interior designers chose a beige upholstered double bed and nightstands with comfortable drawers. The soft gray carpet is a real treat for your bare feet. The spacious built-in wardrobe system holds all the clothes and takes care for the easy decluttering. And for those who love to read in bed, we also installed reading lamps.
Wardrobe
This spacious wardrobe system can easily accommodate all your clothes and includes many of our favourite extras: clothes rails and mesh baskets, shelves and drawers that the future user can complement with their favorite organizers. Thanks to the modular system, you can always put together a suitable solution for any space and enhance its look with doors and handles in your preferred style.
Bathroom
The centerpiece of the bathroom is the white washbasin with a spacious countertop, complemented by the wood tones of the shelf and wall mirror. All everyday essentials fit in the wall cabinet that blends well with the overall expression.
Balcony
Our interior designers turned the balcony into a space where to sip your morning coffee, spend some well-deserved me-time or chat and relax with your loved ones. In the evening, lamps provide light and add coziness. Blankets that keep you warm in the cooler hours can be hidden in the closet for the day. And if you dream about your own garden, the mini-greenhouse fulfills at least your mini-dreams!
