Hej students and teachers of classes 1-6!

For IKEA, there’s no place better than home. We’re always curious about what people around the world think about their homes and how they furnish them. For that simple reason, we conduct home visits and annual surveys about how people live at home – to have a better understanding of their needs and challenges, and what makes them truly happy.

But what do the dream homes of children look like? That is where you can help us. Gather around with the whole class and let children envision their dream home. Then turn your creative ideas into reality. It could be a collage, drawing, 3D model, installation, or even a digital home decor project. It is important that as many children as possible are involved in the creation of the dream home project, that the finished work is completely original, and that it’s something that brings everybody joy and excitement. Unleash your creativity and, if needed, gather inspiration from the www.IKEA.ee website.

After completing your work, we ask you to film an up to 3-minute video where you present your creative project and discuss what makes a home a dream home.

Read the instructions for sending the video in the terms and conditions of the contest (see below).

The deadline for submitting your creative work is 28 November 2024.

From the submitted creative works, we will select six classes, who will win a guided tour of the IKEA store as a prize. During the tour, we’ll talk about the exciting history of IKEA and Sweden, chat about famous Swedes, spread some home-furnishing knowledge, walk around the store, play fun games, and solve exciting puzzles. In addition, all kids will have the opportunity to enjoy a truly Swedish lunch with meatballs and pancakes.

We can’t wait to receive your entries!
