The dining table is at the heart of your home: it’s where you gather your loved ones round for a festive family meal. Use these styling ideas to create a welcoming table this winter, whatever the occasion.
Simple is beautiful
To set the festive table, you don’t have to pile it high with Christmas ornaments and decorations. All you need is a couple of well-chosen accents. Try matching your tableware and textiles with the colours of the already decorated Christmas tree or choose the neutral ones, such as black, white and grey.
Attention to detail
The festive mood lies in the details. Glasses polished to perfection, beautifully folded napkins or natural place mats can really make a difference. If you want even bigger effect, decorate the cutlery as well. Tie your forks and knives with a ribbon or a string and add some twigs with baubles to make them look like a little Christmas tree.
Be creative
When setting the table, always make space for surprises. Your guests will be surely delighted, if you leave something unexpected on their plates. What can it be? Use your imagination. Anything from sweets to small gifts or festive decorations will look beautiful under the MORGONTIDIG glass domes.
Red + white = Christmas
If you want to style your home in a traditional way, use classic colour combinations. Red textiles and snow-white tableware will always look great, especially if you decorate the rest of the room in the same palette. Yet the chairs at the table can come in different shapes and colours. This will make your dining room more playful.
The feast for all family
Enjoy the special festive menu together with the smallest members of your family. Only use the HEROISK plates made of renewable plastic instead of the luxury porcelain ones. They are perfect for small children who still learn how to eat on their own. Finally, add some VINTER 2020 place mats to protect the table top surface from all those little “Mommy, I didn't do it”.
Plain vs. multicolour
When the tablecloth is bright, the plates can be just white. On the striped VINTER 2020 tablecloth, even the plates you use every day can look as new. For even bigger impression, layer up your white plates with the dark or patterned ones or use colourful napkins to separate them.
Decorate a table tree
Instead of having a traditional Christmas tree, create a green centrepiece on your table. Place a table-runner, add some real or artificial spruces (you can also use our SMYCKA garlands) and decorate them with the same festive lights you would have used for the tree.
Winter elegance
Even if it doesn’t snow during Christmas, you can create a white winter tale inside your home. All you need is some white tableware and gold-glowing decorations. Set the table, light up the stars in your windows, soften the chairs with fluffy sheepskins, and you're done! A great setting for both Christmas ant the New Year's Eve.
